    Cold Drink Filtration

    RainFlow descaling technology

The Rain-Safe Rainwater filter system RW-MXBV2000 is a two-stage filter system that increases efficiency in commercial brewers while reducing maintenance and downtime due to scale buildup and corrosion. The system also reduces lead. The unit consists of 2 1/2” NPT lead-free brass ball valves, a siphon kit for easy installation and maintenance, and a polypropylene filter housing housed in a high-strength, powder-coated steel console. The system uses a high-capacity 0.5 Micron Carbon Blocking Filter to reduce sand, silt, sediment, rust, chlorine taste and odor. This carbon blocking filter is filled with a lead absorbent to reduce lead in the water. The filter cartridge also features a long-life phosphate media that prevents scale buildup and wear to downstream equipment. The Rain-Safe QT filter cartridge makes servicing easy and fast.

    FAQ

    General Questions

We have listed the answers to the most frequently asked questions. You can find the answers to your questions on this page.

Why should I use a water purification device?
It filters harmful substances such as chlorine, heavy metals, viruses, bacteria, and chemical residues that may be present in tap water, providing cleaner and more palatable drinking water. It also helps reduce plastic bottle usage, contributing to both the environment and your budget.
    Are water purification devices healthy?
Yes. With the appropriate technology and maintenance, it makes the tap water safe to drink. However, device performance and the initial quality of the water can affect the result.
Can I drink the purified water directly?
In most models, yes. RO systems in particular purify water from bacteria and viruses. However, device maintenance and filter quality are important.
    Does it affect water pressure?
Reverse osmosis systems may experience a slight drop in water pressure, but this usually does not cause a significant problem in the home. If the pressure drop is severe, professional assistance is recommended.
Should I choose a pumped or non-pumped device?
If the mains water pressure in your home is 4 bar or above, a device without a pump is sufficient. If the pressure is below 4 bar, devices with pumps are recommended; these also extend the life of the membrane.
What about filter life and maintenance intervals?
In open-tank models, the front three filters should generally be replaced every six months, while in closed-tank devices they should be replaced once a year. The reverse osmosis membrane filter is replaced every 12–24 months. Alkaline, mineral or post-carbon filters are replaced on average every 12 months.
What should I look out for when buying a device?
Use of NSF, FDA or TSE certified filters Access to spare parts and service network Warranty period and conditions Pressure and contamination level of your inlet water Usage capacity (e.g. is an 8-litre or 12-litre tank sufficient?)
